Details | According to Dominique Soutif et Julia Estève, Inventaire provisoire des inscriptions khmères, the stele is at Muang Boran. |
Notes | The location of Hin Khon (or Ban Hin Khon, Pak Thong Chai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province) is reported to be lost. The map of Aymonier shows Hin Khon south east of M[oeuong] Paḥ Tong Chhai, the modern ปักธงชัย Pak Thong Chai (at Coordinates: 14°43'0"N 102°1'23"E, see Le Cambodge, p. 113 and map). Just to the east Aymonier records some Khmer ruins, presumably ปราสาทนาแค (Coordinates: 14°42'57"N 102°2'32"E). Slightly to the west is Ta Khu ตะคุ, the Ta Kou of Aymonier's map. A much worn Khmer lintel is preserved at Wat Taku. Prang Sraḥ Noï of Aymonier (Le Cambodge, II) is likely the monastery วัดม่วงสระน้อย Wat Muang Sa Noi (at Coordinates: 14°41'7"N 102°2'19"E) or the present Wat Khon Sa Noi (Coordinates: 14°40'47"N 102°2'45"E) where a border-stone from the Khmer period is preserved. For Hin Khon, the position indicated by Aymonier appears to be at or close to ปราสาทบ้านปรางค์ or Prasat Ban Prang, where there are ruins of a Khmer-period temple (Coordinates: 14°40'54"N 102°1'52"E). |
