| Misc notes | Notes on the reading: kārāvitā in lines 4-5 is properly kārāpitā. The spelling of Ghiyasuddin’s dynasty could be kṣaljī or kṣalcī (Persian Khaljī). The problematic name in line 3 looks like jaśarvaḍha or perhaps jaśavīḍha (with the vertical of the ī merged into the border). The reading could be corrected to jaśarvaddha or jaśavīddha, either intended for jaśavṛddha, a partly vernacular form for Yaśovṛddha, an appropriate name for a teacher. |
