| Details | Discovered sometime in or before 1876 by J. H. Dawson, an Irrigation Officer, at Mayilagastoṭa, a village about 8 miles from Tissamahārāma in the Hambantoṭa district. The pillar was afterwards brought afterwards to the Colombo Museum. |
