| Authority | Müller, Edward. (1883). Ancient Inscriptions in Ceylon. London: Trubner & Co., pp. 27-28, no. 7. |
| Details | Müller (1883: 27-28) reported the rock as lying by the side of a hollowed-out cave at Perumäiyaṉ-Kuḷam (Perimiyankulama Wewa, 8.376913, 80.386600). Wickremasinghe (1904-12: 66) describes Perumäiyaṉ-Kuḷam as an abandoned tank about half a mile long situated on the path to Galkaḍawala one and a half miles north of the Sacred Bōdhi-tree at Anuradhapura and about half a mile north of the so-called Laṅkārāma dāgaba. |
