Details Chunar stone. The base of the pillar is rectangular to a height of 72 cm, with four niches containing images which may be avatāras of Viṣṇu (see Banerji 1945: 6 for descriptions). The next section, 14 cm high, is octagonal, and the next, 12 cm high, is sixteen-sided. The next 14 cm is circular and seems to be a pūrṇaghaṭa, described as a "base with foliage" in Banerji 1945: 5. The next and last section is 19 cm tall and is square and plain. No width/diameter data available; from the photo, the width seems to be a bit over 30 cm, which fits in with the size of the inscription. The niche above the inscription has a two-handed image holding a club and a discus.
