When (with usual titles) Tribhuvana-malla, the capturer of Taḷekāḍu, the strong-armed Vīra-Gaṅga Viṣṇuvarddhana-Hoysaḷa-Dēva, having by the prowess of his arm conquered from the lower ghat of Naṅgali on the east, Koṅgu Cēram and Ānamale on the south, the Bārakanūr ghat on the west, and the Peddoṟe on the north, — was ruling the kingdom without an enemy, in peace and wisdom: and when (on the date specified) he was on the bank of the goddess Kāvērī, his younger brother Udayāditya-Dēva having gone to svargaṣ in Kellavatti in Nirggunda-nāḍ, in his memory Viṣṇuvarddhana-Hoysaḷa-Dēva made a grant of Kellavatti as a rent-free agrahāra to the Brahmans who were dependent on him, forming it into 18 shares. And for the god Janārddana, previously set up there, he assigned 2 shares out of the 18. (Further details are given of land assigned for the purpose of worship to various local deities, and the grant generally is repeated.) (Usual final verses.)
