Details A Buddha image with an inscription in Sanskrit and Pyu on all four sides of the socle. The head of the figure is missing. “The figure is seated in the Dhyāna-mudrā; Gupta influence is discernible in the dress which is indicated only by lines at the edges, and across the breast, leaving bare the right shoulder” (Archaeological Survey of India Annual Report 1927-28: 128).

Details Discovered by Charles Duroiselle in 1927-28 during excavations at the Kan Wet Khaung mound, situated at Hmawza on the south side of the Rangoon-Prome Railway line near the Bawbawgyi Pagoda (18.786124, 95.285514). Indicated in volume 4 of Inscriptions of Burma, edited by G. H. Luce and Pe Maung Tin and published in 1956, to be held at the Archaeological Office, Mandalay. Now at Sriksetra Museum, no. 2013/1/48.
