Authority | Wickremasinghe, Don Martino de Zilva. (1912-27). ‘No. 19. Poḷonnaruva: Kāliṅga Forest Gal-āsana Inscription,’ Epigraphia Zeylanica 2, pp. 125-127. |
Details | In 1927, Wickremasinghe reported that the seat stood a few feet off the south-east corner of the site of a Piḷima-gē (‘image-house’) in the group of ruins on the Tōpa-väva quadrangle (the Dalada Maluwa) in Polonnaruwa. He was unable to say whether the inscription stood in its original place in the Kāliṅga-vana (‘Kāliṅga-forest’) and whether this locality was identical with the Kāliṅgodyāna (‘Kāliṅga-park’), formed by Niśśaṅka-Malla. |
