Authority Wickremasinghe, Don Martino de Zilva. (1904-12). ‘No. 7. The Two Tablets of Mahinda IV at Mihintale,’ Epigraphia Zeylanica 1, pp. 75-113.
Details Mihintale is a mountain about eight miles east of Anurahapura. It is traditionally identified with Missaka-pabbata, called afterwards Cētiya-pabbata, on the Ambatthala summit of which the missionary prince Mahinda is stated to have made his permanent residence during his life-time in Ceylon.
