Details | Discovered in 1894, when certain ruins just north of the Kūṭṭam-pokuṇa (‘Twin-ponds’) in Anurādhapura were being excavated by the Archaeological Survey. The ruins are probably those of a monastery belonging to the so-called Jētavanārāma group. |
