Details Discovered in 1982 in the village of Māṇḍhaḷ (20.956099, 79.461490), in Umred taluka of Nagpur district. Apparently the plates were found while ploughing a field (exact location of the find not reported), then hidden under a stone block, then found again by labourers breaking stone into gravel. They were acquired by the Māṇḍhaḷ Itihās Saṃśodhan Samiti and presented to Nagpur University.
