Details | A single plate, the first of a set of two or more, with the rest lost. Its surface is flat, without raised rims. Inscribed only on one side, presumably the verso. The hole for the ring was near the left-hand side (as viewed on the inscribed side), which is broken off so the remnant of the hole is now an indentation of the short side. The inscribed area was not damaged by this loss. The corners on the intact end are rounded. |

Details | Nothing is known about the discovery of this plate or the fate of the others in the set. It was first reported in the collection of the India Office, London. It is presently in the India Office collection at the British Library but not in Albertine Gaur's catalogue of that collection (Gaur 1975). Mirashi 1939-40: 723 believes that a locality mentioned in the charter may be identical to modern Mangrulpir (20.312753, 77.340402) in Akolā district. |
