Details A set of two copper plates, each inscribed on the inner face only. There is a hole at the centre of one of the longer sides (bottom of 1v and top of 2r). Through this hole, the plates are connected by a ring, which also passes through the perforated handle of a seal. The seal shows an image of the Sun and Moon at the top (about 1/3 of the seal's height), marked off by a double line, the ends of which turn perpendicularly upward near the edges of the oval. The bottom of the seal (about 1/4) has another image described as a flower but not recognisable as such in the rubbing. Between the two graphic sections there are four lines of inscription.

Details Discovered (probably shortly before 1912) in the possession of Balwant Bhau Nagarkar, a copper smith whose family originally hailed from Ahmadnagar, Māhārāshṭra. The plates had been preserved as a family heirloom for several generations. The donated village in the copper plate has been located in the modern village of Hiṅgaṇghāṭ (20.550970, 78.842540) in Wardhā district. The originals were studied by Pathak; subsequently, they may have been returned to their owner.
