Details | The ring is about 0.6 cm thick and 6.5 cm in diameter. It bears a rectangular seal, about 3.5 wide by 2.2 cm high. The seal has traces of an illegible legend on a countersunk surface. The ring and seal were extant when Fleet studied the plates in 1888, but one end of the ring had been detached from the seal (where the two ends had been welded into a socket) to allow separation of the plates. Fleet points out that the shape of the seal suggests an Uccakalpa, rather than a Parivrājaka seal. |
