Details | Discovered in 1930 near an old well while excavating a tank at Baigrām, Bogra (Baguṛā) district, Rājśāhi Division, Bengal (now Bangladesh). Another copper plate, found with it, was taken away by the coolies and presumably never recovered (but, according to Sircar 1943a: 12 this may have been the Kalaikuri-Sultanpur plate, OB00067). The plate was in the possession of the Gauḍa Research Society, Howrah in 1931-32, and is now in the Indian Museum of Kolkata (accession number A20047-9084-12). |
