Details |
About half of the original oval seal (split vertically; the proper left remains). The upper field of the seal, separated by a double horizontal line, is occupied by an effigy of Garuḍa. To his proper left is a small disc that may be the Sun (on similar seals, the Sun is to Garuḍa's proper right, and a crescent Moon is on his left). |

Details |
Discovered in 1927-28 during the excavation of Monastery site 1 at Nālandā along with OB00034, OB00046, OB00047, OB00048, OB00049 and OB00052. All these seals are clay impressions that seem to have been baked accidentally in a monastery fire. Probably now in the Archaeological Museum, Nalanda. |
