Details This set of three copper plates was found in the possession of a smith in Dhamatari village and purchased by S. S. Purjari. The three plates are attached together by a ring and seal. The seal contains an inscription which states that the charter belongs to Sudevarāja and an image of Lakṣmī being lustrated by two elephants. The charter records the donation of the village of Khalapadraka in the Ḍakarī bhoga by Sudevarāja. The village was given to caturvedin Brāhmaṇa Māhdavasvāmin who belonged to the Kāśyapa gotra of the Vājasaneya śākhā of the Yajurveda. The inscription also records that Sudevarāja was the son of Durgarāja. It was issued from Śrīpura and was engraved by Gōlasimha, who is the engraver on other Śarabhapurīya copper plates. It was issued on the 9th day of the Kārttika in the 3rd year of Sudevarāja’s reign.
