Comment The inscription is upside down, showing that it was added to the megalith while the stone was lying flat on the ground. That the stone is prior to the inscription and likely of the Iron Age is shown by the shape, size and cup-markings on the object.

Mirashi gives some info on the slab. He says: “now lying in a pit two or three furlongs to the West of the main gate of town”.
