  1. The virtuous Śramaṇa Prakhyātakīrtti having been a descendant of the rulers of the Island of Laṅka (has become) moon to the firmament of his family (v. 1). This monk, through devotion, desirous of attaining Buddhahood, caused to be performed acts of worship at the Ratna-traya for the peace of mankind (v. 2).
  2. Whatever merit has been acquired by me through this, let that be  for the enlightenment of […] Let that very auspicious reward be shared by […] (v. 3).
