Intrinsic Date: 109 jyeṣṭha 18 (era: Gupta). Basis of dating: intrinsic. Editors read the date as 100 20 9; Sircar 1969-70 convincingly argues for 100 0 9. |

The inscription is on the pedestal, one line along the top edge, another along the bottom edge. The height given here is for the two lines combined; the top line is about 2 cm tall, the bottom is 2.5 cm tall. |
Decoration |
Between the two lines of text at the top and bottom of the pedestal, there is a carved wheel in the centre, "with a man seated in meditation on each side, and a lion at each corner" (ASIR 10: 6). |
