Description | A fragment. At least six full lines have been broken away from the top (a stanza and a half, with one pāda per line as in lines 7 to 24 (slightly different in 9-10); there may also have been a prose incipit before the first verse), an unknown number of lines lost from the bottom. The first few characters of lines 7 to 24 are destroyed, and from line 25 onward one pāda of verse is also lost from the beginning of each line. Since the extant area is roughly rectangular, the original inscription must have covered a reverse L shape, which implies a carved image of some sort in the top left corner. The layout needs to be cleared by autopsy. |
