The contents of Asia Inscriptions Online (AIO) are posted online and in the communities allied and linked to ZENODO under the Creative Commons license: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International.

Terms & Conditions: Users must not use the material for any commercial purpose and are barred from distributing material that remixes, transforms or builds on the material presented without prior written permission from the Editorial Board that oversees the AIO site (see Contacts). Notwithstanding the 2016 judgement of the Delhi High Court Delhi that copyright is “not an inevitable, divine, or natural right that confers on authors the absolute ownership of their creations. It is designed rather to stimulate activity and progress for the intellectual enrichment of the public. Copyright is intended to increase and not to impede the harvest of knowledge,” material in AIO and allied and linked communities in Zenodo under copyright should be used for consultation and reference purposes only, and not be published, copied, reproduced in part or in whole. Users may not without prior written permission and authorisation “mirror” on any other server any material contained in AIO and the linked and allied source communities in Zenodo. The use of the content on any other web site or in a networked computer environment for any purpose is prohibited, without express written permission from the Editorial Board. The downloads offered, including without limitation any files, images incorporated in or generated by and in AIO and Zenodo, and data accompanying the material is licensed to users for personal, noncommercial use only. AIO does not transfer title of any of the materials to users. Users may not distribute or otherwise exploit the materials in AIO or decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise reduce the material to a human-readable form without prior written permission. AIO and the source communities allied to it in Zenodo disclaim all warranties with regard to the materials it contains, including warranties, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement whether such warranties are expressed, implied or statutory. AIO and contributors to it and Zenodo shall not be liable for (1) any inaccuracies, errors in the materials presented, (2) any lost or damage (including without limitation any consequential, indirect, incidental, special or exemplary damages) arising from any download or use made of the materials, or occasioned by any such inaccuracy and error of the materials, (3) any copyright violation, perceived, alleged, actual or otherwise.

Rules of Conduct: By using AIO users agree that they will (1) not infringe or violate any right of a third party including: (a) copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary or contractual rights; (b) right of privacy or publicity; or (c) any confidentiality obligation, (2) that they will not use material in the community to engage in any activity that is commercial, business-related or advertises or offers to sell any products, services or otherwise (whether or not for profit), or solicits others (including solicitations for contributions or donations); and (3) that in using AIO not introduce a virus or other harmful component, or otherwise tampers with, impairs or damages AIO or any connected network, or otherwise interferes with any person or entity’s use or enjoyment of the site. AIO makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the content or about the results to be obtained from using the site and its content. Any use of the site and its content is at the user’s own risk.
